The Small Charities Coalition is the idea of Patrick Cox who was running his own small charity and continually encountering difficulties in accessing the resources he needed for his charity to succeed.
With 98% of the 160,000 charities in the UK being small charities, Patrick identified a widespread need and came up with the concept of the charity sector matchmaking service. [Stat ref: NCVO Almanac 2007]
Since setting up the charity in early 2008, the Coalition has been recruiting small charity friends and larger supporters.
The Small Charities Coalition is indebted to the generous support of the Directory of Social Change who have supported the charity since its inception by providing endless help ranging from office space to IT, Finance and admin support.
The Coalition has also secured some very generous funding to date and we would particularly like to thank
