Before you proceed to the survey please carefully read all the instructions and guidelines below and confirm that you've understood and agreed with them before proceeding.

• To get the most out of the Small Charities Coalition you must first be ready and in a position to receive help. This may sound obvious, but if you do not have the time to receive help & advice and then act on it (and in turn give back to another charity) joining the skills matching service may not be right for you just now.

• Please do not expect anyone else to do the work for you. We are not a volunteer service and cannot provide volunteers to your charity. Instead we provide a platform for you to tap into a wealth of key skills, resources and knowledge that small charities have.

• The survey will take about 20 minutes to complete. You must complete the survey in one go and cannot return to it without starting again so leave plenty of time to complete the survey.

• It is recommended you have your Annual Accounts nearby because we will be asking you information about your charity’s status, size, and turnover.

• The survey is broken down into three main sections. 1) Information about your charity and about you, 2) Your charities resources and 3) Your charities needs.

• Because of demand we are now asking all charities to identify their fundraising skills (despite how limited you think they are). If you are not in reach of your fundraiser (in whatever guise they may come) it is worth consulting them before you complete the survey.

• You will then be asked for up to three core skills that your charity staff, trustees and/or volunteers may have that you can share back with other fellow small charities so think carefully what they are before completing the survey.

• Ideally, before you are called upon to offer your skills and expertise to another charity we like to match your charity with someone who can help you. However on occasions you may be asked to offer your resources first – so be prepared.

• Please ensure that you complete all sections of the survey and answer all questions as fully as possible. For example, simply telling us that you have this particular skill or that particular need doesn't help us. You need to describe in enough detail for us to understand what your skills and needs are. If the information is incomplete you delay getting the support you require.

• All the resources are given voluntarily; the Small Charities Coalition is therefore not responsible for any of the services or information provided by other charities or organisations or the quality or content of support and advice provided by another charity or organisation. The Small Charities Coalition is not responsible for any dissatisfaction you may have regarding another charity or organisation.
