19 January 2012 | Directory of Social Change, London

On Thursday 19 January we invited some of our members to join us for the evening to discuss future opportunities to develop skills within their charities.

Skills Third Sector, the evening's co-hosts presented and led group discussions about their new tool: LINKS, designed to make relevant training and learning accessible to all charities. There were some lively and prodcutive conversations about the skills needs of the sector and our members offered useful feedback and tips for moving forward with the tool. You can find out more about LINKS here and fill in this questionnaire to contribute your own thoughts.

The evening also gave us the to discuss our plans for future services and website development with our members. Overall the event went down a treat, it was great to meet our members face-to-face and get their views on the future of our two organisations.

Photos: We've posted all the photos from the event on our Facebook page. Please feel free to use any of the photos (right click on the image, click copy and then paste into a word document or Paint) for your own websites or newsletters, and we would love to see your photos if you took any.

If your charity does NOT use Facebook or other social media, you really should consider it. It's a very powerful way to market your charity for free. For more information on using social media to gain exposure for your organisation, watch this Social Media Revolution video clip.
