This image is a framed photo of John Barrett, Coordinator at the Small Charities CoalitionJohn Barrett (Project Manager/Coordinator)

After leaving university in 2005 and a brief stint in the fashion retail industry, John joined the Directory of Social Change as their Fundraising Websites Coordinator working closely with trust and corporate fundraisers. It was during his time there that he met Patrick Cox (the charity's founder) and begun volunteering for the Small Charities Coalition. Inevitably it wasn't long before John was pinched by Patrick to join the Coalition as their full-time coordinator.

John is a keen socialiser and avid sportsman (however finds himself being more the spectator and less the participator). He counts listening to music, attempting to play music, reading, walks in the hills and stamps as his hobbies. He has no children but three untidy housemates to keep him busy.

Mridu Rana-Harrop (Marketing Coordinator)

Mridu joined the Small Charities Coalition team in October 2009. She worked as the Events and Marketing Coordinator in an up-and-coming healthcare charity before deciding to take time off to go travelling and ‘do the thing’. Whilst pursuing her MA in 2005 in International Journalism, she opened a fair trade café in Wales hoping to get a bit more fun away from the tedious student life.

Other than trying her hand at bizarre cooking, Mridu enjoys the outdoor life more than she would like to admit. In the near future, she would really like to progress from the beginner’s level to the intermediate level of snowboarding.

James Bull (Volunteer)

James is what every charity desires: the perfect volunteer! He has been with for 8 months and contributes to every facet of the organisation.

His educational background is in the natural sciences and considers gigging, painting and watching Disney/Pixar movies as his passion, hobby and secret obsession (respectively).

He currently lives in a flat with his partner Michael in North London that he hopes he doesn’t have to move out of any time soon!
