Patrick Cox (Founder/CEO)

Patrick Cox was born in Dublin, Ireland. He started out as a development tool maker engineer and has 13 years experience in prototype and development in both the motorcar and consumer goods industries.

Patrick is a relative newcomer to the charity world and founded Male Cancer Awareness Campaign in 2005. The charity is daring and hard-hitting, raising awareness and education of male cancer. The charity was nominated for Britain’s most admired charity in 2007 for innovation. He is still heavily involved as volunteer CEO and is deemed a world testicle running expert.

In late 2007 Patrick founded his second charity, the Small Charities Coalition and is the Chief Executive. He said: “Necessity is the mother of all invention. I founded the Coalition to provide innovative solutions to the direct problems that small charities face”.

Patrick has one daughter called Finlay.

This image is a framed photo of John Barrett, Coordinator at the Small Charities CoalitionJohn Barrett (Coordinator)

After leaving university in 2005 and a brief stint in the fashion retail industry, John joined the Directory of Social Change as their Fundraising Websites Coordinator working closely with trust and corporate fundraisers. It was during his time here that he met Patrick Cox and begun volunteering for the Small Charities Coalition. Inevitably it wasn't long before John was pinched by Patrick to join the Coalition as their full-time coordinator.

John is a keen socialiser and avid sportsman (however finds himself being more the spectator and less the participator). He counts listening to music, attempting to play music, reading, walks in the hills and stamps as his hobbies. He has no children but three untidy housemates to keep him busy. One day he wishes to be just like Patrick Cox.
