The aim of the workshop is to introduce and help charities with storytelling techniques. These techniques are a powerful source of communication, as they evoke empathy and trust among charities' audiences and help charities move people into action.

Writing funding bids and how to crowdfund successfully - Glastonbury

In this interactive workshop Emma Beeston brings a funder's perspective to application forms. She will share with you the top 7 things that funders are looking for in successful bids.

An Effective Trustee Board - the do's and dont's seminar

This introduction to building an effective board will look at board structure, governance, trustee roles and responsibilities, recruitment and retention as well as the relationship between the board and the charities staff.

Selling Techniques for Small Charities


Many charity roles involve some form of 'selling' to a wide range of stakeholders these days - consider how many meetings with funders or potential volunteers you've had when you've been trying to 'sell' the benefits of your charity to them, in return for their grants, their participation, or their support.

IBM believe that many charities could be even more successful if more of their staff had sales training, and during this full day training session they'll introduce you to a number of key sales techniques.

Introduction to Project Management - Manchester

Writing Effective Fundraising Copy Workshop

Building Engagement with your Audience through Email Newsletters

This practical workshop led by Abby Wright-Parkes will focus on how to develop, plan and produce email newsletters.

An email newsletter is an effective and low-cost way for small charities to build and maintain a relationship with beneficiaries, service users, donors, volunteers and the public. This training will help you to constantly improve your results.
