HR for Small Charities Workshop - London

Building engagement with your audience through email newsletters

This practical workshop led by Abby Wright-Parkes will focus on how to develop, plan and produce email newsletters.

An email newsletter is an effective and low-cost way for small charities to build and maintain a relationship with beneficiaries, service users, donors, volunteers and the public. This training will help you to constantly improve your results.

Introduction to Project Management

Writing Effective Fundraising Copy Workshop

This new workshop delivered by experienced copywriter James Barry is aimed at fundraising and communications staff of smaller charities that want to improve their copy skills around fundraising and marketing.

This workshop aims to help you think about your organisation’s copy in a donor-centric way. It will help you engage better with the people who support you – so that they feel more valued and engaged than ever.

Measuring Impact

IBM skills workshops

The Measuring Impact Master class will introduce participants to the concept of ‘outcomes thinking’ – where the focus is less on what charities do and more on why they do what they do and on what they’re seeking to achieve. Trustees and Good Governance Workshop

The aim of the workshop is to understand the importance of good governance and particularly the role of the leadership team in delivering to an organisation's stated purpose. Attendees will also gain a better understanding of the role of a charity trustee and discuss steps to improve the governance of their charity.

The workshop is led by Alan Clarkin, who has over 15 years experience as a trainer for the Charity Commission.

An Effective Trustee Board - the do's and dont's seminar

This introduction to building an effective board will look at board structure, governance, trustee roles and responsibilities, recruitment and retention as well as the relationship between the board and the charities staff.
