Information Technology

The Small Charities Coalition has a number of ongoing IT projects that vitally need the input and support of a volunteer with IT technical skills and experience. We are continually developing our website and membership database and require support on identifying and defining our database and website requirements for the short and long term future of the charity. We also have a very large Charity Commission database that needs extracting and presenting for marketing and research. The right volunteer would be integral to any future developments. Alternatively any offer of expertise or support is very welcome.

Research/Fundraising
Central London / at least 4 days a month
The Small Charities Coalition would like to improve its services to small charities and will be launching a volunteer lead project to research useful sources of information for small charities. This will require extensive internet research, identifying existing resources and measuring their effectiveness. The next stage will look at how to implement the signposting of useful resources on the charity website and how to maintain the model. The role will also incorporate a degree of fundraising research. Identifying potential funds from trusts and foundations and maintaining contact with existing funders. Depending on the volunteer there may be scope to extend the role to bid-writing and general policy research across the sector. Whilst research/fundraising skills would be useful, no experience is necessary.
