VACANCY: Small Charities Coalition Trustee

We seek two more people to join our friendly Board of Trustees, which meets 5 times a year, from 5pm – 7.15pm near Elephant & Castle, London, SE17. We currently have some gaps in our skills as a Board around digital and fundraising.

As our website shows, currently, we are not representative of the communities we serve, so we are particularly interested in hearing from BAME candidates who have experience of working for small charities.

If this sounds like something you would be interested in, please apply by letter, outlining your experience to [email protected].

If you would like to know more about the role of a trustee in general, there is more information available here.

The Small Charities Coalition is a national charity which exists to support small charities all over the UK.  We do this by providing information, advice, mentoring and training to around 9,000 members UK-wide.

For us, a small charity is defined as any UK-based charitable organisation with an annual income of less than 1million. 97% of registered charities in the UK fall under our definition, as do over 600,000 micro charities that are too small to register.

Services we provide:

- Mentoring to develop expertise and improve confidence.
- Access to information and resources.
- Collaboration with other organisations to broker free or affordable training.
- An email and telephone helpline service.
- Facilitating trustee recruitment opportunities.
- Providing a voice to champion small charities at a national level.
